Like some great walks, this one came with a twist.

Our original goal? To explore a secret, picturesque street nestled along Kensington Palace—a hidden gem that, in our research, seemed like the perfect spot to capture the refined beauty of West London. However, upon arrival, we were met with something less than picturesque: stern signs reminding us that photography was strictly forbidden. The street was surrounded by numerous embassies and consular offices, making it a no-go zone for any kind of filming.

Well, there goes the plan. But instead of being disheartened, we embraced the unexpected. After all, walking tours are as much about getting lost as they are about finding your way. So, with the "no cameras allowed" signs still fresh in our minds, we shifted gears and decided to wander freely into the lush expanse of Kensington Park.

While we didn’t get to show you the exclusive street we had in mind, we were reminded that sometimes the best part of any city is what you discover when your plans go awry. Our detour into Kensington Park ended up being the highlight of the walk, admiring the secret street afar while allowing us to capture the peaceful, everyday charm of West London’s elite neighbourhoods.
