Our stroll through Putignano Centro Storico turned out to be much more than just exploring a picturesque old town. The weather was on our side with a light overcast that kept things cool as we filmed the narrow, charming streets of this southern Italian gem. But the real magic came from immersing ourselves in the vibrant local life—particularly at the massive street market that seemed to stretch endlessly through the town.
Walking through the market was like stepping into a scene where everyone knew each other by name. Locals chatted with vendors as they picked out fresh produce, handmade goods, and all sorts of delicacies. It was the kind of community atmosphere that makes you feel instantly welcome, even if you're just passing through with a camera in hand. Capturing these moments, we felt like we’d gained a real insight into the heart of Putignano’s everyday life.
As if that wasn’t enough, we also stumbled upon the town’s Paper Art Festival! It added an unexpected yet delightful layer to the experience. Intricate paper sculptures and art installations dotted the streets, turning the town into an open-air gallery. We got caught up in the fun of hunting for checkpoints in the festival's scavenger hunt, even though we missed one in the video (oops!). Still, the festival’s theme of creativity and culture fit perfectly with our channel’s mission to explore local traditions and art.
