Paris at 1 a.m.—where the city’s usual bustle fades into something far more enchanting. We began our Paris 1st Arrondissement Night 4K Walking Tour with the streets softly illuminated.
The night truly became magical when we stepped into the Tuileries Garden. By sheer luck, we arrived just in time to see the Olympic Balloon Cauldron gently descending, as if it had been choreographed just for us. And behind it, the Eiffel Tower twinkled its final sparkles before turning off for the night. A perfectly timed exit, wouldn’t you agree?
But the real twist came not from the scenery, but from the crowd. In contrast to the daytime hordes of tourists, we were met with big groups of French locals. Then, just as the atmosphere hit its peak, a light display was projected onto the Cauldron. The spotlights danced on the balloon, adding a touch of theatrical flair to an already mesmerising night.
This tour became more than just filming landmarks—it was about witnessing the city’s soul come alive when the tourists have gone to bed. There’s something magical about Paris in the small hours, when it’s quieter, livelier, and just a little more daring. The perfect reminder that this city always has one more surprise up its sleeve.
